Pro.Dan Shechtman Professor Dan Shechtman

Dean of the Institute, world-renowned material scientist, expert in electron microscopy, and outstanding professor of the Department of Materials Engineering at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Professor Dan Shechtman won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry on October 5, 2011 in Stockholm, Sweden, for the discovery of quasicrystals.
